kikaPaprika

kikaPaprika did not begin as a clothing company. First and foremost, kikaPaprika began as an idea for a company that would empower women to use their gifts and talents for financial freedom and personal success.

While forging a highly successful career in direct sales over nearly two decades, kikaPaprika founder Kim Shaw was ready for a new challenge. She used her extensive business background and research skills to develop an original idea that would serve a need in the marketplace. A simple question, "What do you love to wear?", turned out to be the magic question in a friend’s email that had been sent to a large group of women across the country. The answers that poured in were unanimous and sparked the product idea for her business concept, "Soft, comfortable clothing, that is stylish and unique." And kikaPaprika was born.

Kim channeled all her passion and energy into researching, developing, and building a socially conscious business that centered on the direct-to-consumer sales of comfortable, fashionable, and flattering women’s clothing. kikaPaprika’s innovative combination of elements--figure-flattering, eco-chic, and long-term availability--eventually lead Kim into designing and custom manufacturing the kikaPaprika clothing line right here in the heart of the domestic garment industry centered in Southern California.

With the company’s commitment to improving the lives of women and families, it was only natural that her daughter Kirstyn Shaw come on board as the Vice President of Design and Production. Kirstyn received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and an advanced technical degree in Apparel Manufacturing and Management from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. Kirstyn is bright, energetic, and brings a youthful and trendy element to the kikaPaprika line, positioning it to reach "Every woman, every age, every day."

kikaPaprika encompasses all that Kim envisions for the future success of women who are dedicated to "dressing a better world."
